Our Security Infrastructure

Nettescil security infrastructure is based on a layered approach for hosting, reseller hosting, VPS/VDS, dedicated servers, domains, email and software services. Security is not provided by a single product or firewall. Physical access, network traffic, server software, management panels, customer accounts, updates, logs and incident handling must be considered together.

Layered security

Layered security aims to limit the impact when one control fails. Network rules can reduce unwanted connections, but they cannot replace strong passwords, current software or secure application code. Each layer should have a clear purpose and should be reviewed after important changes.

Physical and server protection

Physical access, energy, cooling, hardware maintenance and authorization are important for the environment where servers operate. At the server level, unnecessary ports should be closed, administrative services limited, operating systems updated and logs reviewed. VPS, VDS and dedicated server customers also have responsibility for the services and applications they install.

Accounts and administrative access

Customer panels, control panels and server accounts should use unique passwords and separate users. Shared administrator passwords, unused accounts and former team members’ access create avoidable risks. Give each person only the permission required for the task, remove unused access and review login activity. Do not put passwords, API keys or license keys in support tickets.

Updates, malware and abuse

Operating systems, panels, CMS software, plugins and themes should be kept current after compatibility and rollback conditions are reviewed. Unknown plugins, cracked software and unverified scripts can introduce malicious code. Spam, phishing, unauthorized scanning and suspicious mail traffic require investigation of logs, scheduled tasks, files and accounts. The available action depends on the service and the confirmed findings.

Email security

Business email security includes account passwords, access control, spam protection and domain DNS records. SPF, DKIM and DMARC can support delivery reliability, but no single record solves every delivery problem. Users should avoid suspicious links, verify attachments and avoid reusing passwords.

Logs, monitoring and backup

Logs can show successful and failed logins, administrative actions, web errors, mail activity and application events. Time, source IP, user and action should be evaluated together. Backup is also a security control for accidental deletion or a compromised system, but it must not be treated as an automatic guarantee. The scope varies by service and plan. Independent copies of critical data are recommended.

Shared responsibility

When an incident is suspected, first limit further damage, preserve useful evidence and identify the affected service. Change credentials, close suspicious sessions and isolate malicious files when appropriate. Nettescil supports the infrastructure and platform layer; the customer remains responsible for their application, content, accounts, passwords and server configuration where the service is customer-managed.
